The women of Busan are warming up their voices for the V-Day weekend by performing an evening of acoustic music. In coordination with the Vagina Monologues show two days later, the performance will raise money for the Sae-Gil women's shelter in Busan. 

As various cast members, as well as Violet Lea of Poko Lambro and the notorious Kelsey aka Beazy G, will be offering up their voices, Eva's will have a variety of drink specials to support our cause. Should you be interested in helping support the women's shelter further, non-perishable food items or any new or gently used clothing you have lying around would be greatly appreciated.

The 'Sae Gil Welfare Corporation' in Busan was founded in 1998 by Lee Sung Yol. Lee opened a Counselling Clinic twenty years ago. Lee personally borrowed money to obtain an apartment for her first patients but did not stop there. After much hard work and fundraising, Lee began what would become the 'Sae Gil Welfare Corporation'. Today the 'Sae Gil Welfare Corporation' consists of 2 shelters and 26 family homes. 

The most pressing need for 'Sae Gil Welfare Corporation' is to obtain funds to cover the cost of feeding all the women and children in the Shelters. Once entering the shelter, women no longer qualify for welfare. As well, the shelter's minimal food budget for 2011 has already been exhausted due to current changes in government funding. 

The performance of the Vagina Monologues itself will be Sunday February 27th at Vinyl Underground.
