North Korea is a mystery to many people. Not very far from here, with the same ethnic people as South Korea, it has a starving population and one of the largest armies in the world. It has a network of concentration camps, death camps, and re-education camps, and it has tested a nuclear bomb and is trying to develop nuclear armed missiles.

This event is a chance to learn more about North Korea and to hear the personal testimony of a woman who recently escaped.

There will be a chance to ask questions and learn more.

  • Why does this humanitarian disaster persist so close to such a wealthy nation?
  • What can be done to end the misery and suffering of so many fellow humans just 100 miles away from Busan?
  • What is it like to live in such deprivation - deprived of love, truth, freedom, food and basic rights?
  • What is it like to start a new life amid the prejudice and rampant consumerism of South Korea?

Please come along to Busan National University, Seonghak Hall (Building 422), Room 102, at 2pm
