Ink Bomb is coming to Seoul on April 16 and 17.

This year's show will include tattooists from Korea, Japan and the US. There will be live demostrations, the artists will be available to do some art on site and people can meet up with and set up appointments with the artists for a later date. I can highly recommend Sun Rat Kim - he's one of the organizers. Although I can't seem to find his name on the poster I know him personally and have seen him work. He's possibly the fastest, cleanest and most talented tattooist I've ever seen. There will also be live music and other vendors, such as Bastard XXX clothing- a punk clothier here in Seoul. A two day pass is only 30,000 won (not including the price of any tattoo work you want to get done).

April 16th will be at Club Vera in Hongdae. From Hongdae Subway station (green line stop 239) go straight out exit 5 and walk for a block. Take the first main street on your left that will lead you toward the main entrance of Hongik University. For those familiar with Hongdae, it's on the same street as the Frisbee Apple Shop and Dos Tacos. Vera is on the right hand side as you walk up to the uni. 

April 17th's turn out will be much larger so the venue will change. It will be at the Platoon Kunsthalle http:/www.kunsthalle.com/ (- website has an English language option!) in Apgujeong. The easiest way to find this place may be to either take the subway to Apgujeong (orange line stop 336 - Exit #3), Gangnamgu Office ( olive green line stop 730 - exit #3) or Hakdong (olive green line stop 731- exit #10). From either of these exits find (by way of map in the subway station or by hopping in a taxi) your way toward Dosandaero Sageori (도산대 사거리). There are directions and maps on the Kunsthalle website.
