We will start the hike at DongA University Campus, summit Suenghaksan, cross to Gudeoksan, and end at Gudeok Mountain Botanical Gardens where we can catch a short shuttle bus back to the subway. Hadan is a long long way from many places in Busan so if you are planning on coming you should leave plenty early. (It is 40 minutes from Seomyeon.) This hike is only moderately difficult but bring some good boots as the descent is pretty steep. It will offer some pretty views of the Nakdong River estuary, the ocean, and the ports. We will also be crossing a rather unique mountain prairie. The botanical garden, which we have visited before, should be in full bloom. Bring water and snacks and whatever else you want to nibble. There will also be an opportunity for dinner afterward at a restaurant with vegetarian options for anyone interested in that kind of thing and a further option to tour a beautiful nearby temple.
