This workshop looks at some educational software available on the Internet and gives participants the opportunity to try them out and to make teaching materials with them. These softwares will include the courseware Moodle (www.moodle.com), the song-captioning software Karafun (www.karafun.com), Hot Potatoes (http://hotpot.uvic.ca/), and Quandary (http://www.halfbakedsoftware.com/quandary.php). People who would like to participate can save themselves some time by downloading Karafun, Hot Potatoes and Quandary and bringing the .exe files to the computer room (Woodang Building, Room 211). PLEASE also bring a mp3 file and the lyrics (txt or doc file) of a song which you would like to use in Karafun. Otherwise, you will have to put up with Andrew's choice of songs!

Summer Patio BBQ with Daegu-Gyeongbuk KOTESOL

To start your summer on a happy note, join the celebration at Daegu-Gyeongbuk KOTESOL's annual BBQ party hosted by our own Patty Yoon at her academy FIN English. After our workshop, we’ll all be making our way to Patty’s outdoor patio for some yummy summer treats (with vegetarian options).

To show our appreciation, Daegu-Gyeongbuk KOTESOL will be covering the cost.
Please RSVP before June 28 to help us prepare enough food.
