This is a quick and enjoyable hike for all endurance levels. We will meet in Seomyeon and take a ten minute bus to the entrance of Children's Park, where we will begin a slow ascent to the main peak of Baekyangsan. There is a steep element near the top but most of the hike isn't too difficult. This mountain is central to Busan and offers incredible views. Depending on time constraints there are several routes down and those with more energy can easily make the hike along the northern ridge of the mountain and continue on to the South Gate on Guemjangsan and beyond. The rest of us will return back to the park, probably finishing up around 2. There are several excellent traditional Korean restaurants near the park entrance or we can try something different for lunch. RSVP at [email protected].
