Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival

Just as a heads up the Cheongdo bullfighting festival runs from next Wednesday to Sunday.

Worth a trip if you haven't been.

And it's bulls vs bulls.

Re: Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival

Really? Worth the trip?

You must've seen something I never saw, and I've been twice--absolutely, horribly boring.

If you're within 30 or 45 minutes, then it might be worth it to go once. But, if you're traveling from farther away, I'm not sure it's worth it. Apparently, it's really exciting for Koreans because of all the gambling involved, but that's just what I was told.

Cheers

Ha Ha. I think it's worth the trip for a couple of photos, but agreed you probably don't need more than an hour there to get the idea. Worth combining the trip with something else nearby. What that something else is, I'm not sure. Anyone know?

Re: Cheongdo Bullfighting Festival

the wine tunnel is a nice little visit. i was there a couple of years ago, went to the bull fight (meh) but the wine tour was a nice starter. http://www.gamwine.com/

and as with alcohol, barring soju that is, persimmon as a libation ain't half bad.
