Getting a Driver's License Soon

Hi, I am in the process of getting a driver's license here and I am originally from the USA. I have been living in Yangsan for the last 2 years and I am collecting information for getting a driver's license here. I am getting mixed information, which naturally happens here.

Has anyone recently gotten a license? Where did you get it and how hard was the paper trail?

It would be nice if this was short and painless, but I am being told otherwise. Can anyone tell me exactly what I need to have that the office wants?

Thanks!!!

Lots of Advice Needed

Hello! I am moving to Busan in November and the news for my family came rather unexpectantly. My spouse was offered a job opportunity he could not refuse so we have ten weeks to put it all together. I was hoping to get some help with some general questions about housing. He spent about 6 months in the area five years ago but its my first time to Korea. We have lived in Japan for his job and Beijing for mine and are very excited to see what Busan has to offer. Here are my questions. Please feel free to answer some of them or all of them. I will take whatever help I can get.

Daegu and Seoul - able to retire in? how much retirement income needed

I read on wikipedia the average gdp per person in Daegu is around $22,500, and Seoul its around $35,000.  I'd like to retire (or maybe spend some retirement years there) so I'm trying to anticipate how much income I would need for myself to live comfortably (and hopefully someday with a significant other).

1.  Is $40,000 a year enough to live comfortably in Daegu?  (I've done the numbers on living expenses and it seems like its more than enough, but maybe i'm missing something)

2. Is $50,000 a year enough to have a studio and go out every Friday and Saturday for fun?

English online grocery shopping - Fatbag re-newed

Hello everyone on Koreabridge,

Hope you're enjoying a nice, hot summer weekend.

English Online Grocery Shopping store - Fatbag.co.kr - has completely redone their website (with more items including Costco, IKEA, Vegan products, etc.) - looks much better and more convenient now.

They're doing a 5% off promotion, and wanted to share the news with everyone.

http://www.fatbag.co.kr

We'd like to see more and more English-based websites like this for all of Expats' benefit in Korea.

Aufenthaltsgenehmigung

Hallo Forum,

Dance Classes in Busan

Hi

I have been to classes at Club Latino for salsa but am looking for other places I can try for salsa, Argentine tango or ballroom dancing.

I have tried googling and I'm part of the Busan Salsa Facebook group...but I can't find anything else apart from Club Latino in Seomyeon.

Does anyone have any other places I could try?

I miss dancing so much!
