Hey, there is a new Indian place in Haeundae. When I say 'place' I mean a tiny little establishment (similar to Senora Taco) with a very small menu and only a few stools for seating. The food is cheap, fresh, and delicious. She offers several different chapatis with chicken or veggies, either spicy or not. She also has lassi, either plain or in several flavors. You can get a chapati and a lassi for 5,000won. It's a little hard to find so I attached a map, hope it helps.
Chef Kwon (Chen) has moved many times in the last 10 years that he has been cooking Chinese for Busan citizens. He is the Korean/American who had a restaurant in San Mateo, California for 18 years. For the last few years his restaurant (Chen Chen) has been across from Pukyoung University. Yesterday I discovered his place empty but with signs still up.
Does anyone have any information on his intentions? Did he just move or did he finally retire?
Didn't wanna continue the hijack of the filet mignon turned fish & chips thread! Hope to hear more there, but was just curious if someone could elaborate on the breakfast/brunch situation at Gecko's. Planning on coming over from the PNU area Sat morn, so any info on the menu or hours would be appreciated.
Jeff, how about a separate "Food & Eats" type forum here like there used to be? That was always my favorite place to visit on Pweb!
I recently treated my Korean friend to his first ever Fillet Mignon at a TGI Friday's. By Fillet Mignon standards it sure didn't look good, but nevertheless It was love at first bite.
However, I'd already told him about fillet's wrapped in bacon and the wonders of Peppercorn sauce. Anyone know where I can find that in Korea? Preferably in the midprice range.
Did I fall asleep and wake up in a fantasy world where fruit was just way too ridiculously expensive? I mean, I have come to terms with the fact that a good selection of cheeses is essentially non-existant in S.K, but am I seriously expected to pay roughly 9 dollars for a small cantaloupe? I won't even get into the price for beef.
I'd imagine it's the same all around. If anyone knows locations that maybe sell food products a little cheaper, please let me know.
Does anyone know of a filipino restaurant in Busan? I am looking for some delicious chicken adobo and pancet...not to mention sinigang na baboy. Please let me know. Thanks.
I have been to Breeze Burns but I would like to know if there are any other places in Busan known for serving a good breakfast/brunch? Specifically pancakes...yum.
Wondering if anyone knows of an organic farm that I can buy my vegetables and meats from. I think most of the vendors in the market consider themselves "organic" but I'd like to find a dedicated organic farm. And I'd love to find a free range/cage free farm to buy eggs and poultry too.
Also are there any specifically organic stores in PNU? Restaurants?
If any of one knows of an environmentalist group that needs help or a volunteer please contact me as well.
