Hi, I'm new to Busan and Korea. Could anyone please point me in the right direction as to where I could pick up a good USB soundcard for DJ-ing (with 2 channels, preferably Native Instruments or M-Audio) and some decent DJ headphones (Sony, Sennheiser or Technics). I need to pick up some gear...
Any other amateur DJs living/playing in Busan?
Cheers

Ah, cheers bru! I think I can do without the USB soundcard for awhile, but I do need some decent headphones ASAP, so I'll check out the place you mentioned.
Safe.

You might also want to try the musical instrument store in Bujeon Dong, they have a lot of PA stuff there so you might find some DJ stuff as well. Check this post out for directions.

Failing that your best be is going to be the aforementioned Seoul, although I would recommend checking out the music mart there as well. It's huge.(if you choose to go that route I will post directions, but no time right now!). And of course there is online.

I was recently looking for MIDI controllers and found the stuff in the Seoul music market to be pretty much the same price as Korean online stores. Check out Gmarket. You can search in English and pay from an ATM.
If your buying Japanese brands, its sometimes cheaper to get a ferry to Fukuoka and pick it up yourself rather than pay the shipping and the Korean markup. For example, you can get a VCI-100 for about 250,000 won cheaper over there.
Finally, if you're after an external sound card, why not try a Korean brand like this or this.
