Hi one and all.

It's been a while since our last event. We have been diligently trying to bring you an original party over the past few months, but alas we have hit problem after problem.
Our beach party ran aground with the Gu office and red tape and our attempt to organise a boat party around Busan Bay stumbled when we were faced with the lack of boats that met our specifications.

Stephen Krashen @ BUFS (Oct. 15)

Date:

Monday, October 15, 2012 - 18:00

Location:
Busan University of Foreign Studies
(International Conference Hall)

About this Event:

Dr. Stephen Krashen -- yes, THE Stephen Krashen -- will be doing a special lecture at Busan University of Foreign Studies October 15th, 2012 from 6:30 - 8:30pm.  (Monday evening)

The two hour presentation is free to all, sponsored by KOTESOL's Busan-Gyeongnam Chapter.

We hope you will make use of this wonderful opportunity.

Directions to the event

The closest subway station is Daeyeon on line 2 (the green line). From there it’s a 3,000w (approx) 5 minute cab ride to the university. Leave the subway station via exit 5 and hail a cab. Tell the cab driver busan way day and he/she should take you right there. Take the cab up the steep hill past the soccer field (on your left) and tell the driver to stop as soon as the hill flattens out, just past a crosswalk with a concrete set of stairs on your right. When you get out of the cab the venue should be across the street from you, on the first floor of the building directly beside the IT building which is circled on the campus map on the brochure that accompanies this document. You will see yellow fliers reading “KOTESOL” and (probably) a cluster of people, both Korean and foreign, beside the doors.

Alternatively, you can take the university shuttlebus if you wish (see shuttlebus route map below), it runs every 5~10 minutes or so in the early evening.

If you’re feeling adventurous you can walk from the subway station in approximately 20 minutes. Leave the subway station via exit 5, then head south down the street that runs perpendicular to the main street that the subway follows. When you get to the UN Rotary continue on straight ahead and simply follow the road up the hill, then down the hill, until you get see the main gate of PUFS on your right hand side.
