Roles and Responsibilities:

The Windows Consumer Subsidiary Product Marketing Manager (PMM) is the owner of the all-up Windows Consumer brand and marketing strategy in a market.

The PMM is required to have a strong understanding of Windows and a deep understanding of the consumer audience, technology business and competitive situation in the market. The PMM is the leader of Windows Consumer Campaigns in the Subsidiary for each selling season, including Above The Line and Below The Line of the messaging and marketing strategy. In addition, they are the local face of Windows, driving the Windows consumer story among blogger and influencer communities in the market. The PMM is also responsible for brand stewardship regarding all local campaigns that involve Windows and be able to develop local compete strategies and product differentiation by leveraging corporate and local research, partner insights and customer feedback.

The PMM understands, orchestrates, and influences consumer campaigns and marketing activities, leveraging multiple communication vehicles (including online, social media, events, influencer engagement, segment programs, etc) and channels. An essential responsibility associated with the role of PMM is to align the content, timing and delivery of marketing messages and outreach to Microsoft’s customers and partners. The PMM must develop strong partnerships with the segment marketers, as well as customer and partner segment stakeholders to lead and execute fiscal year local priorities.

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • 10+ years of practical experience in product, segment, audience or relationship marketing. (consumer IT marketing experience is preferred)
  • Advanced to understand the customer, technology products and market trends
  • Excellent cross-group collaboration skills and be able to work independently
  • Handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Advanced conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, planning and organizational abilities
  • Self-motivated, directed person; ability to build strong, lasting business relationships
