Taco Senora Mexican restaurant, Haeundae BusanVery small and relaxed bar with great 6,000 won cocktails. Haeundae Busan.

I should preface this by noting that I’m not picky about Mexican food. I love American style burritos, a la Chipotle. We never had much authentic Mexican food around Pittsburgh when I was growing up, and what I did have never really did much for me. Many foreigners in Korea have a very lofty standard for Mexican food that nothing in Korea can ever live up to. I’m not one of these. You can wrap just about anything in a tortilla and call it Mexican. If it tastes good, I’ll like it.

By these standards JK Factory and Taco Senora are fantastic. I’m writing them up Burrito with hot sauce from Taco Senora is Haeundae, Busan.together because they share the same menu and cook. When you order from JK Factory, the waiter actually walks outside to Taco Senora and orders. Then the Taco Senora cook brings it over when it’s ready. I had the chicken burrito and shared an order of Nachos Grande with friends. The burritos have a strong cilantro flavor, which I love, but isn’t for everybody.

The food menu is small, as are both the restaurant and the bar. The bar especially has a really friendly, cosy atmosphere. There’s one table in the middle, a few tables along the side, and some seats at the bar. It seemed to be run by some fun Korean guys. The downside is that beer is 5,000 won. Luckily Long Island Iced Teas are only 6,000, so I opted for that and it was a good choice. Cocktails are pretty cheap and good all around. And the list is extensive.

If there’s a table available, JK Factory is a great place to hang out with some good friends and have a few drinks. Taco Senora is always a great option for some reasonably priced and pretty good take-out Mexican food.

Direction: From Haeundae subway exit 5, walk straight until you get to the Papa John’s. Turn left, walk past the Save-Mart (and one of the best clocks in Busan). Cross the intersection. Jk Factory and Taco Senora are in the little alley, right past a cool looking tiny coffee shop.

Re: Taco Senora and JK Factory

Taco Senora is okay, but not as good a Fuzzy Navel or, better yet, Hello Kimchi.  JK Factory were very rude to me. They have the worst costumer relations I have ever witnesssed in Korea. I would suggest Sharkys in Haeundae instead.
