Yesterday I did something adventurous. By adventurous I meant.. hiking. I am not an outdoor person, I don't enjoy being under the sun or doing sports. But I really wanted to get out of the house instead of just lazing around and doing nothing. I told Kimchi boy that I wanted to go out.. to a mountain. I don't know where the idea came from, maybe I just wanted to get out, but I don't regret it one bit. Besides the insects, sunlight and heat, I had a great time hiking up the mountain.
We went to Jangtae Mountain, located in Seo District, Daejeon, South Korea. It was not a convenient location for hiking as the public bus (only bus 22 goes there) comes once in every 2 hours and all signages/information were in Korean.
We were there at about 9am in the morning, barely saw anyone else there except for a few workers cleaning the area.
I perservered and made it right to the top. All thanks to my determination (and a little bit of Kimchi boy's encouragement), I got to enjoy this breathtaking view!
Lunch was kimbap with ramen, typical picnic food that Koreans love to eat when they are outdoor.
I was really surprised that I suggested to go hiking because this was something that I just do not like doing. I hope it's not because I am bored of Daejeon already.. I still have to live here for another few more weeks before my programme starts in Ulsan.
