Korea gets very excited (like everyone else) for the Olympics, and now that spirit has carried over to the forever yummy + cute~ Baskin Robbins Korea chins!

This month they rolled out a new “Korea Fighting” Cake featuring a swimmer, no doubt inspired by the beloved Park Tae-hwan who won Korea’s first medals in swimming ever with a gold and a silver.

They also released a new flavor in honor of the Olympics, “골드 메달 리본 / Gold Metal Ribbon” which is REALLY good and is my current favorite flavor!!  It is a very very smooth mousse chocolate and vanilla with a ton of caramel ribbons twisted in.  My favorite flavor back in the USA was “World class chocolate” which is essentially this, minus the caramel.  I hope they keep this flavor around, it is not really cute or unique~ but it tastes so good. The mousse flavors are so nice and creamy, I wish they used that recipe for more flavors.

Some other fun things that have been stocked up for the summer spirit are several new cakes!!

A cute sorry cake in the shape of an apple called “쿨한 내가 사과할께 / Me the cool one will apologize first”  which is a play on words because the word for apple is 사과, but the word can also mean an apology. This cake is made with the “Apple Mint” flavor so it has a taste to match the shape…. someone be mean to me and buy me this cake, ok?

Another cute design is the Summer strike” baseball cake since it is a popular sport this time of year

a watermelon cake “속 시원한 수박 / cool on the inside watermelon” (another play on words)~ because nothing says summer like a watermelon here!

Last one is a super cute cookie bear cake with crumbles around the outside called “Summer scandal”

I wanna eat all the cuteness!!!
