Named for its concert hall, Leipzig’s Gewandhaus, the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra is the oldest symphony orchestra, with roots that go back to 1743. Riccardo Chailly will be conducting, while violinist Leonidas Kavakos will join for the March 8 performance. On the program is Dvorak (March 7) and Bruckner (March 8).
