Wordz Only 1

An Open Mic event for Poets, Playwrights, Fiction and Non-Fiction writers as well other spoken word creators.

Wordz Only is the offspring of the Poetry Plus+ events that have been held at the Monk Jazz club since 2000 (but currently on an extended break).

Those interested in participating will throw their name into a hat. First name drawn out reads first. After the first reader finishes, he or she will draw out the name for the next reader, and so on down the line. The event will proceed in this manner.

Time slots will depend on the number of contributors (7 to 15 minutes).

Cafe Radio is a nice, cozy place near the HQ & Eva's in Kyungsungdae. If you walk straight with those places at your back, then Cafe Radio will be on the left. It is easy to spot.

The Cafe Radio has a nice sound system with a mic and a music stand for written work.

The Wordz Only is a performance event but hopefully participants will be able to attach a workshop element to it in the future.

Coffee, alcohol, and various food items are on the menu.

Come out to Wordz Only 1 to get into a groove before you go out later and get loaded!

Those who just want to specate or do something different for a change are encouraged to attend!
