JoshRoy has a unique sound that praised by audiences and fellow artists alike with numerous collaboraitons including Hip Hop and Reggae artists in S.Korea.

Born and raised in Uganda, JoshRoy aka Nviri Mayanja is an artist. He is an accomplished painter and singer/composer. He comes from a musical background from his mother. He remembers singing in her native tongue of Gisu and Luganda, the national language of Uganda.

For that matter, Josh Roy is a polyglot singer; he sings fusion Reggae (a mix of R&B, Hip Hop, Gospel, AfroPop and Reggae) in Luganda, Swahili, Gisu, and English.
While his mother Margaret Mayanja is a Diva in her own right, Josh’s latest songs are doing well the charts of Uganda’s Reggae Top 100 and looking forward to releasing more music in more countries soon.

First coming to Korea on a visit in 2007, he ended up discovering a vibrant source of inspiration from encounters with artists from diverse artistic backgrounds which led to collaborations with HipHop artists in Seoul. “Sharing the stage with some of the expat-community HipHop artists and still keeping much of my Reggae fusion style has been a blessing and a great opportunity to be creative with my music.”
