OVAL PICNIC : Welcome, First Time in Seoul ?

 Hello! This is OVAL KOREA, a university student organization.

Now that your mid-term exams are over, are you guys looking for something to do? Despite the chilly weather, it’s the perfect time of the year to engage in outdoor activities! How about coming to OVAL PICNIC hosted by OVAL KOREA and experiencing Seoul? Let’s hang out! Our team has prepared 8 programs based on 4 themes (activity, food, landmark, and history). Each program has been designed and planned entirely by our staffs.

If you come to OVAL PICNIC, you can…

- experience programs based on fun and unique themes prepared by Korean university students

- choose from various programs according to your taste - socialize with Korean and international students from different schools within Seoul.

- For whom : International / Exchange students studying in Korea

- Cost : around 20,000 won

- Date : Nov. 4th 13:30 ~ 17:30

- Application Period : Oct 21th – Nov 2nd, 2018

- Application Method : Scan QR code and fill out Google Form (Google Form: https://goo.gl/forms/UgKBaafsHOvir6o02)

- Venue : Seoul Area (will vary by program) The exact venue will be informed via text message on Nov. 3rd

[Programs]

- Theme 1 : Activity o A Day of a Party Animal : A big chance to play like ‘real’ Korean students! We’re going to go to the hottest places in Korea and drink, all within one day.

o Coldplay : Join us for a cozy healing experience that is only in Korea called ‘Jjim-jil bang’. Enjoy the colder weather inside a traditional Korean sauna and admire the Seoul night view with us!

- Theme 2 : History o Gyeongseong trip with OVAL : Visit Seodaemun Prison and Deoksung Palace to get to know about Korea’s modern history

o Adventure to Jongno : Experience the history of Seoul from past to present by exploring traditional markets, palaces, and cultural streets in Jongno

- Theme 3 : Landmark o Seeing beauty in tradition : An awesome way to understand and experience Korean tradition by taking a walk in Seoul

o Autumnal colors in Namsan : Let’s feel the autumnal atmosphere of Korea and learn about Korean culture and history through climbing Namsan where it is full of autumnal colors

- Theme 4 : Food

o Have you tried Korean Home Cooked Food? : Explore Korean supermarkets and join our cooking class to learn about the essential everyday home-cooked dishes of Korean University students. We will teach those who live alone how to survive with delicious home-cooked meals.

o Tasty Korean Foodfighters : Experience Korean marketplace and try Korean street food. Taste REAL Korean flavor and find out what ‘정 (jeong, aka Korean affection) is!
