필리핀에서 태어나 네덜란드에서 자라온 Luke (루크) 는 어려서부터 기타며 그래피티, 하우스와 힙합에 엄청난 열정을 보였습니다. Luke 은 Dobre (Chocolate Puma) 에서 만난 멘토어에게 많이 배웠고 1996년부터는 홀로 제작하며 이름있는 음악가들을 위해 리믹스를 해주는 외에 전문적으로 DJ 일을 시작했습니다. 그의 첫 작품, “Rocking With The Best” (1999), 그리고 두번째 작품, “Electronic Satisfaction” (2002) 를 통해 많은 인기를 끌엇었죠. 그 후론 Daft Punk, Murk, Oliver Lieb 와 Tom Stephan 등 많은 음악가들의 노래로 리믹스를 했을 뿐 더러 자신의 레이블, Mixmash 을 소개하고 Steve Angello 와 함께 “Sexy F**k” 을 리믹스했으며 같이 “Otherwize Then” 이란 노래도 제작했습니다. 이외에 그는 다섯개의 트랙과 18개의 리믹스, ignite the Stealth Live! CD 시리즈로 사람들에게 인기를 끌었구요, 매주 Radio FG란 쇼를 진행하며 BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix 를 포함해서 무려 200여개의 세계적인 DJ 세트를 켰죠. 세계에서 알아주는 클럽이란 모든 클럽에서 DJ 한 그는 그후 Ibiza Closing Party mix 의 모든 노래들을 제작/리믹스했습니다. 그러면서 Cool Cuts Charts 에 들어간, 그리고 영국의 singles chart 에 11등을 기록한 “Show Me Love” (by Luke and Steve Angello feat. Robin S) 로 2008년의 끝을 장식했습니다. 2009년도에는 Swedish House Mafia 와 같이 한 “Leave The World Behind” 는 Pete Tong’s Miami Show 의 Essential New Tune 이 돼었고 Beatport 의 베스트셀러가 돼었습니다. 그때문인지, 그는 DJ 잡지의 Top 100 DJs Poll 에 27위를 차지하며 2009년 마저 장악했죠.
최근에 그는 David Guetta, Diplo, A-Trak, Steve Aoki 와 Lil Jon 과 함께 했으며 Black Eyed Peas 외에도 Calvin Harris, Christina Aquilera 와 Moby 까지 리믹스를 해주었죠. Luke 에겐 지금까지 세번이나 Beatport Music Awards 를 차지할 수 있는 자리에 올랐구요, “Leave The World Behind” 란 노래로 International Dance Music Award (IDMA) 까지 받았습니다.
