mash-up (māsh•ŭp)- a song or composition created by blending two or more songs, usually by overlaying the vocal track of one song seamlessly over the music track of another.

Although the mash-up genre maintains a relatively short history, the sonic confections of Aaron Brink, a.k.a. ABX, and Steve Reidell, a.k.a. STV SLV, together as The Hood Internet, have built a reputation and loyal following for the staggering volume and quality of their output. The Chicago-based duo offer their own unique version of the fused tunes-- smartly cut tracks, flawlessly overlayed, bear a signature sound that are cheeky amalgams of indie-rock-meets-rap.
