It's time to get your brew (and drink) on again!!! Homebrew Korea will be holding another brewing competition at Oktoberfest in Gangnam on May 14th, from 1pm ~ 5pm.
Homebrewers are invited to come and submit a beer for the brewing contest. At the last event, we had a lot of delicious beers submitted to the contest. In fact, too many for just one general category so at the upcoming 'Brew Your Hops Off!' event, there will be 3 categories to enter beer into. Those categories will be: 1) Pale Ales/IPAs (under 15°SRM) 2) Stouts/Dark beers (above 15°SRM), and 3) Lager/Wheats/Specialty beers. Prizes will be awarded for winners in each category.
Of course any good beer event is all-you-can drink, so there will also be unlimited house beer (pilsner, weizen and dunkel). Each table of 4 people will also get a few plates of food to snack on (chef's salad, nachos, a plate of sausages). Entrance to the event will be 30,000won per person (paid in advance, bank details below) or 35,000won at the door.
THE DETAILS:
Event: Homebrew Korea 'Brew Your Hops Off!'
Date: May 14th, 1pm ~ 5pm. After 5pm you must start paying individually for beer/food.
Location: Gangnam Oktoberfest (2min walk from Gangnam Station).
Price: 30,000won per person in advance, 35,000won at the door. Everyone must pay that enters the pub - drinking or not.
What you get: Unlimited house beer (pilsner, weizen and dunkel), each table (4 people) will get a few plates of snacks (salad, nachos, sausages).
Who's invited: Anyone and everyone.
What to bring: You best homebrew, hopefully!! Please bring at least a pint (500ml) per beer entry. In the Homebrew Korea spirit, you are encouraged to bring more to share.
It's going to be a another great afternoon!! Lots of delicious beer and great company. The last event was so great that we drank their entire supply of beer, leaving nothing for the evening drinkers!
