The summer vacation is over (even though the summer heat isn't) and it's time to get back to work, back to our students, and back to professional development. On Saturday, September 18th, we are pleased to have Brian Dean presenting on igniting creativity in our students.

Brian on Creativity:
Creativity is not something you either have or don't have; it is a skill that can be and needs to be learned. Although the source of the genius spark of a sudden idea is still not understood, ways to prepare - to gather tinder, if you will- are. Yet, there are a few reasons why we need to be cautious of teaching it. In this presentation, we will take a quick look at the science of creativity and the best ways to use and encourage it in class.

Bio
Brian Dean is an instructor at Dongseo University with more than ten years ESL experience in Korea. After learning about the University Entrance Exams in Korea, he became interested in how to preserve and encourage the creativity of his students.
