Ashtanga Yoga for Beginners @ Club Aribe

I will be leading an Ashtanga Yoga inspired class. Ashtanga yoga is a system of yoga transmitted to the modern world by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois (1915-2009). This method of yoga involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing internal heat and a purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.

I will slowly guide you through sun salutations, then through a series of standing and sitting 

poses. I offer plenty of hands-on adjustments and variations for people of all levels and injuries. The class will end with a short guided meditation and relaxation.

Those who are quite new to yoga are welcome to join - just take it easy and feel free to rest at any time. I can help you along the way with adjustments and offer variations.

WHEN: Saturday Nov 17th, 2012... 11:30 am ~ 12:30 pm
WHERE: Club Caribe, Seomyeon 
COST: 5,000 won
WHAT TO BRING: Yoga mat (you may use a towel or practice directly on the floor if you do not have a mat)

Directions to Club Caribe, Seomyeon
1. Seomyeon station, exit 7
2. Walk straight approximately 400 meters
3. Its on your left, four buildings right after you see Baskin Robbins 
(look up, the sign is hard to see)
4. Second floor

Note: The class must have a minimum of 6 students confirmed. If less than 6 students confirm the night before the class, there would most likely be a cancellation.

For those interested there will be a fun Zumba Dance/Aerobic class immediately following the yoga class, led by Levy Solomon!
