Paradise Casino

I was at the Paradise Casino tonight but was kicked out for no reason. I asked why but the guy just wanted to fight me so i said okay, Of course he did nothing but I said check the video-what did I do but get out was the answer. Prejudiced attitudes are alive and well in Korea. Sad but true!

I really wanted to see the video? The one guy one was just trying to play the nice person but of course even he backed the manager and started yelling at me. I was not yelling but asking what the hell was the problem. No wonder that place is dead. If I was the paradise I would look into the manaegment there. Not only will I  not go back to the Casino, I would never go back to that hotel. I proposed to my now wife there to. Well done Paradise!

Re: Paradise Casino

You're writing this as if you're either filled with uncontrollable rage (who wouldn't be), or like you've had a few drinks.

Were you drinking?  Just an honest question.  I'm not trying to blame you, just trying to see if you had given them any reason at all, no matter how small or inconsequential.  Being even the slightest bit sauced probably would have given them a reason.

How do you know the guy was trying to step up to you in a semi-violent manner?  Did he specifically say "I'm gonna fight you".

This sounds like a real pisser of a situation.  I'm glad it wasn't me, because I've been so on edge as of late, it wouldn't take much to push me over.  I hate confrontations, and violence, but I don't think I would have maintained my composure nearly as well as you did.

Don't make noise. Don't be happy.  Turn down the volume on all the slots.  Just sit, smoke your cigs and make your bets.  That is my version of a visit to the Paradise Casino.

Re: Paradise Casino

I think now that they have wealthy Chinese and Japanese cliental who dump a lot of money, it pays to not have western foreigners there.  I haven't been there in years, but I do remember I had asked for drinks that took forever (It was not that busy) and I was told to buy my own cigarettes when I asked for a pack.  I had dumped so much money there, at least 100,000 won, so asking for a complimentary drink and smokes, which they do for all of their customers, was not too much to ask for.  I even heard one employee say, "Get out of Korea"to foreigners.

I am glad that this casino is going to shit!  Everyone goes to Lucky Seven in Lotte Hotel.  Much better than Paradise Casino.

100,000 isn't much money at a casino.

The place is run with an iron fist. No fun allowed. The place blows. I have no problem not going back. The Parardie in Seoul is okay but down here it is run very poorly. It is a gamble just going there. Do you get drinks or not? Do you get food or not? Do you get cigs or not. Seomyeon is much better for sure. Good luck everyone!

Re: Paradise Casino

I'm not much of a gambler but the two times in the last ten years I'm been in a casino (foreigners only korea) I've seen people get tossed for no other reason then not being Japanese/Chinese and somewhat older in years.

On another note, on a trip around korea  I did visit the city in Kangwan-do that allows korean nationals to gamble. What a site it was. All of the nasty things that come with gambling was so very evident in this sin city harem of town. the pawn shops, whores, motels, sell your car today car lots. It was really skid row and I saw first hand what gambling can do to people. Dudes and chicks from all parts of the hermit kingdom rolling in with an equus and in a day or two leaving on a bus with their clothes and enough for triangle kimbap, sad but true.

Re: Paradise Casino

From what I have heard from people here, this treatment is a result of years poor behavior. I have heard this from waykooks ,who have been thrown out and why. Reasons for being chucked out included: swearing, vomiting, scamming ,fights, couldn't stand up, black out drunk , flashing and bad manners. To be honest, if people act that way over many years, a stigma will develop towards non-asians visitors. If you combine the bad behavior with the money being thrown around by the Chinese and Japanese clients, it makes us pretty insignificant entities. I'm with you, customers are customer, but try going to a Norae Ju Jum here, or some night clubs in a smaller city, it's the same old same old. Sadly, there is an element of racism here that is entrenched, same as in our countries.

Urban Dictionary-

Non-asian: Aww, I totally failed my math exam! I got a 92!

Asian: Ha, loser. I got a 98. You still get asian points though, for considering your 92 a failing grade.

To the OP, well, you were kicked out for SOME reason. It may have been a bad one, it may have been a good one but it wasn't for no reason. I'm gonna go with good reason based on the seemingly drunk post.

How is the grammar so bad? Silly people comment on poor typing and ignorance. For some reason, like right now, my curser goes off screen-now back, so I do not know what I am typing. I am just hoping it is right. Tweets we follow is covering half of my screen. No idea why. Thanks for those who base things without knowing. Tells a lot more about you than me. Cheers.
