A good book on Japanese occupation

I'm looking for a good objective book on the Japanese occupation of Korea. I would like to find out what bad and good came of it.

Any ideas?

Re: A good book on Japanese occupation

Haven't read any in depth books, although I would be interested to see too what good came out of it, especially the opinion of a Korean.

Did a quick search and didn't find much, there is a whole Wikipedia page devoted to the occupation, with a ton of references at the bottom, might be worth scanning that list.

If you find anything yourself, post back.
