I'm visiting Busan in June and I'm looking for a place to can give me a round trip flight for around $1000 or less. I found one last year on Best Travel Store for $888, but I'm wondering if there's an online service or way of traveling that might be another way to ensure a cheap flight.
Basically, I'm looking for any traveler's secrets that one could impart to me. Does anyone know a way (other than standby) to get around the $1600 Tickets I'm running into?
Well, letting us know what
Well, letting us know what country you are travelling from might be a good start and how long you plan on staying for.

I'm traveling from America, New York State. I'd be staying about two weeks. I'm looking to go in June.
Any ideas?

I just had a quick search on Expedia and got a price of $1280 dollars direct to Busan, via Tokyo. (with Delta and JAL) Not a great improvement on $1600, but better all the same. Personally I think it's a very reasonable price.
Also if you haven't been to this part of the world before, and not likely to visit again in the near future, a stopover in Tokyo for a day or two is an absolute must. The cultural juxtaposition between the two countries is fascinating.
You can also get the same price direct to Seoul via Detroit if you decided to give Japan a miss. But take into account if you want to they fly on to Busan it's going to cost you a further $100 - 150 for the round trip to Busan. Of course Seoul might be (should be) on your itinerary as well so you could kill two birds with one stone there as well.
