Can you use a North America Iphone in Korea?

I have asked around and what I would like to do is use my Iphone 4 in Korea. Is this possible? I have gotten so many conflicting answers from people. I would like someone who has done this or know this is possible to confirm.

Re: Can you use a North America Iphone in Korea?

I could answer your question, but I'm not because I don't think you should listen to anyone of these internet forums.  Why don't you call the phone company directly?

The best answer is to call the iPhone service provider.

Call KT foreigner customer service

Don't listen to anyone on these forums.

Re: Can you use a North America Iphone in Korea?

Hi there...

My korean wife and I live in Denmark and we travel to Korea very often. At some point I got really tired of not being able to use my mobile phone there, so I purchased an iPhone 3GS 2 years ago. When I first entered Korea at Incheon I had full network reception, but I couldn't make any phonecalls, so I asked the very friendly KT service desk at the airport if they knew why I couldn't make any calls even though I had full reception. The problem was very simple. Normally when I make international calls from Denmark using my iPhone I dial (00country code), but for it to work in Korea I have to dial (+country code), and VOILÁ... it worked!!! So YES, your iPhone will work in Korea... just take care of roaming charges. ;O)
