I'm looking for a awesome yoga studio. One that has lots of classes and types of yoga. Currently I'm living in Ocheonjang...and would be willing to travel a couple stops to get a good workout. Oh and I've taken Yoga in Korean before and I"m fine with it. Thanks!
Yoga...
I love the yoga shala I go to (I live in Oncheonjang too)!! I practice at an ashtanga studio in PNU. Look on the event calendar, let me know if you need more info...
There's a Sat class taught in English from 11-12:30 pm...and classes every morning and evening during the week.
Anyway, if you're looking for more variety (b/c the studio is strictly ashtanga), I think there's a vinyasa studio somewhere else in PNU??

PNUE
During the fall I was a gym member at Pusan National Uni of Education, and they offer free Yoga on Mon, Wed, and Fri. I went in the evening, but there are also morning classes I think.
The instructor is great and she is happy to help you in English.
The gym membership was around 40,000 W per month. Yoga (and some crazy aerobic dance class) was free... there were talks of starting to charge for it but I moved out of the area in January and it was still free.
Worth checking out if you're in Ocheonjang!
Hot Yoga/ Bikram
There are 2 bikram, or hot yoga, studios that opened recently in Busan. One is in Seomyeon, subway exit 2 then walk stright and take a left down the road with Starbucks. Its on the 6th floor in the same building as Starbucks and Wara wara. I have been to that one and it is really nice, and its a great workout! Its all in Korean, but easy to follow and the instructors are very helpful. Plus, the provide mats. It's 20,000 won for one time, but if you go to the website hotyogakorea.com, you can print off a coupon so its only 10,000 won your first time. The other location is in Jangsan, in the building with the Primus movie theater. It is worth checking out!
Re: Hot Yoga/ Bikram
hi
I would be coming by bus from ulsan, can you maybe give directions from the bus station?
Thanks
yoga
hey jgkorea--
also looking for a great yoga studio, but for beginners. I am curious, do you know where the KJC Geumjung is in relation to PNU? That is the school where I will begin teaching in July and I am trying to find out what kinds of amenities are nearby. I'm sure there are so many hagwons, it is unlikely that you would know of it unless you have worked there or know someone who has, but I figure it is worth a shot. BTW, I saw your postings regarding environmentalists and I am very interested in joining a team/cause when I get there, so seriously...please let me know if you hear anything! thanks!
Hey, Know of a Yoga studio

Hey
my girlfriend goes to "vin's Hot yoga" in Kyungsung
come out of exit 5 at kyungsung station and then make a right and walk down the street for about 3 mins (past the bookstore and dunkin donuts)
you will see the sign (the studio is on the 6th floor) and take the elevator/stairs. (enter the building that has the pink "OZ" sign (I think its a cell phone shop) and the elevator will be on your right

ps-its a women's only studio and the classes are taught in Korean

Re: Awesome Yoga?
I'm not sure if you're asking about the Shanti Yoga Shala or somewhere else.
We discontinued Saturday classes because of inconsistent numbers (some days it would be 15 and others would be 2). Also, I have to teach at my academy immediately after so it was too much running around and a bit stressful for me.
Classes are everyday during the week though!!! You're more than welcome to come :-)
