Who wants to go fishing?

I've been here for about a year and a half now and have done some fishing, but I'm having trouble finding good spots and catching many fish.  Anybody else having the same issues or just would like a fishing buddy?  Or maybe you know your stuff, and you'd like to help a guy out?  Anyway, I'm looking for people interested in getting out and fishing.

I'm mainly a fly-guy, but I have a spinning rod and would fish anywhere, any way to get into some nice fish.

Maybe we can get a good group together and organize trips?

Give me a message if you're interested.

Thanks,

-Scott

I don't do any fishing, but

I don't do any fishing, but at the mouth of the Nakdong River, there are always people fishing. If you go to Eulsuk-do (island) there are tons of people fishing there. Also, if you go on the other side of Myeong-ji, there are tons of places to fish right off the side of the road. It might be far from where you are at, but I do see people pulling up fish all the time from there. Good luck!!!

Thanks for the info!  I've

Thanks for the info!  I've tried the Nakdong a couple times but with no luck.  I've never tried the other place you mentioned - I think I'll try it Sunday!

Anyone else interested in joining me? I've got extra spinning rods and reels.

Hey,

My name is Ben and I am pretty new to Busan but I would gladly take you up on your offer to go fishing sometime! I am out of town this weekend but next weekend if the weather is nice lets go fishing!

Give me a shout if you would like some company.

fishing

Is it really considered fishing when the biggest fish I have ever seen caught here in Korea is about 4 inches and one eight of a pound? Are there real fish to be caught? I am curious about that. After 7 years I have yet to see anyone catch anything worth while.

Absolutely

I understand your view of Korean fishing as it is very similar to mine.  However, after some looking, there is a lot that fishing in Korea has to offer.  Big snakeheads and carp can be caught if you target them right - and you can even catch them on flyrods!  Also, there's a large presence of largemouth bass as well - you just need to know where to go!  Check out this ex-pat's blog:
