Costco

What's the best deal at Costco?

Re: Costco

That's a bit like asking what's the best colour?

I am not convinced that Costco has better deals than regular Korean supermarkets these days, sometimes it's often more expensive. I guess one area that it still is worth a visit is for household cleaning products such as laundry detergent (Korean brands), dishwasher liquid, surface and floor cleaners as well.

And beef and coffee.

Re: Costco

Lol- just wanna know wot bargains might there. Don't want to miss out on something I haven't seen there. If that makes much sense.Just joined today, so I want some ideas.

Re: Costco

I don't think Costco is cheaper than any rival superchain.  It's about buying stuff that you can't get anywhere else in Korea or if you can you have to travel or have it sent which is time and more money.  You can buy all of the Korean products at Korean marts for probably cheaper I would think. People have told me the produce isn't any better or cheaper. I never investigated, I just buy cheeses and they have decent breads. that's about it for my specialty shopping.

Avoid that place on the weekend Angel, it's a nightmare. .

Re: Costco

Ta LBS- hope you were amused by comments the other day.

Re: Costco

bagels were 12 for 6 bucks. not bad. 2 for 1 deal. but i agree with the others, costco is about what you cant buy elsewhere. i love the turkey slices and some of the snacks. some thigs, when they have them are cheaper tho. for example, i love grapefruit. there you can buy like 10 for 12 bucks or something like that while homeplus is like 6 bucks for 4. sometimes you can find them cheaper but i always go to costco for them when they are in season. anyway, kind of a useless post but i cant always be brilliant...lol

Re: Costco

Free breakfast!!!!

Last time I arrived at 9.30 am, due to a slight time miscalculation (time dyslexic I think) and they were serving free breakfast, including coffee, tea, soft drinks, cakes, pastries and pizza (for breakfast???).

Didn't need to eat again the rest of the day.

Rather disappointed I had no room for more, as I usually fill up on the free-bee snacks inside the store.

Re: Costco

I wanna go and see if they convert my US membership into a local to make a real bet ;-|

Re: Costco

Avocados, coffee, bananas, cherries, bagels, any meats and fish, imported beer, tennis racket, water and cleaning products.

Costco isnt always about the cheapest. More often its getting a good product for not much more.
