lasagna in Busan?

I have been disappointed when I go to Italian places in Busan it seems none of them make lasagna . There was a place in Seomyeon that had lasagna called Primo but it has since closed . Are  there any places that have lasagna in Busan ? Usually I just buy the frozen one at homeplus . It is pretty good actually . Most Italian places seem to just carry some pasta and pizza  .

Re: lasagna in Busan?

Lasagnes I've had that I've enjoyed were both in Shinsegye. One was in the film themed restaurant on the 4th or 5th floor. The other was on the 9th I think.

I've heard Bella Citta on Gwangan beach is good for Italian food, but haven't been there so don't know if they have lasagne on the menu.

Most places sell the dried sheets. Why don't you make it at home. It's pretty damn easy.

Re: lasagna in Busan?

My biggest gripe is Italian restaurants that don't have bread. Like a Korean restaurant without Kimchi. I had a great lasagna from the buffet at Novotel except chef decided tobput a prawn on top, but that was easily removed. I've hear the Paradise Hotel has an Italian chef at their Italian restaurant which could mean a nice change from Cream Pasta. I cooked a Lasagna at home and ingredients ran to over w40,000 only to find the English Cheddar was too salty so perhaps those restaurants aren't overpriced unless I remember my lasagna served 4 big eaters.

Re: lasagna in Busan?

Thanks for information . I know where the movie rest. at shinsaegae is I will look on their  menu . I will also  look on the 9 th floor Italian places too . I think   I went to Charlies at Paradise and they had Seafood lasanga a few years ago . I dont like seafood in my lasanga .I will check Paradise too .As for cooking it myself  my  apt , does not have an oven , It  just got some gas ranges and microwave . I can cook pasta myself   so I am really looking for an Italian place that has lasanga  and some white pizza  something I can't make myself . Yes the bread is an issue too . Its too hard  . Best bread is soft . A nice garlic or cheese bread  is always welcomed in my mouth . Thanks for the information .

Re: lasagna in Busan?

We went to an Italian restaurant across the street from H&M in Seomyeon. I think it's called Olive something. Sorry, I can't remember the name. But they had pretty good lasagna. The pizza was really good and the pastas were nice. But, as someone mentioned, no bread!

Re: lasagna in Busan?

Thanks for the information , When time permits I will check out the Olive Place near H and H . I have found some bread but  most places its too rock hard . No like the bread at Vince's , Olive Garden , Macaroni Grill ,  or Old Spaghetti Factory . Now  those places have nice bread and even capocina ice cream and spamoni  too . .

Re: lasagna in Busan?

I finally went to the above mentioned Olive Restaurant  across from the H and H in Seomyeon that is near Judies Taehwa , It is on the same side of street as Ybm and Pagoda , It is between the 2 schools , Its on    2 nd floor , Yes they have lasanga , It was the best I had in Korea , Could be alittle thicker ,

AS for pizza had the gonzola pizza   again it was best I had in Korea , Very good ,

The person i went with had some garlic pasta , They are Korean they said it was best they had ,

I went at 6 pm on weekday and it was crowded , So its very popular i think .

Re: lasagna in Busan?

I went to the Olive restaurant too, and had the lasagna, and I agree it could have been a bit thicker. There wasn't much between the pasta sheets, and the sheets were a bit thin too. The sauce was very tasty, but could have had more meat and maybe some mushrooms, or some kind of vegetables. The pizza was ok, I like my crust to be a bit more crispy. One thing you can't beat is the price. We had a seafood salad, a pasta dish each, and a pizza all for 56,000won. I'm from New Zealand, and it would have cost at least twice that much. We'll certainly go back.

Re: lasagna in Busan?

I recently went the Olive accross H and M , I think its called the Olive Furnace Stove . If you translate the Korean name , Their lasanage is still very good , When last at Costco I found Lasange precooked , Its in the precooked food section , You heat it in the microwave for 10 min and bingo its done , It was very delicious , Still have not found a soft garlic bread , -
