Why is it so difficult to find a teaching job for Filipinos like me?

I hope that South Korea would open its doors to Filipino English tutors/teachers in the future. I am a Filipino citizen, an F6 visa holder who moved to SK last April, 2015. I've been trying my luck to find a teaching job in Busan but I get frustrated everytime I see the "native English speakers only" sign. I've sent a couple of resumes to different schools but got no response from any of them. I feel so hopeless.

Join a year long Project : From seeds to sauce

From Seed to Sauce: The 콩 Project

콩 means soy in Korean. Soy Sauce (간장) and soy paste (된장) are foundational to Korean cuisine. Join Gachi CSA for a year long project and learn step by step the process of turning a soy bean seed into fermented soy sauce and paste. A small group of people - around 10 - will be given land at Hansol farm where they will first plant the soy bean seedlings. After planting, one time per month the group will return to the farm to manage their collective crop with weeding and trimming to open up space for the growing beans.

Haeundae Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

There's a new jiu jitsu gym that opened up in Haeundae near the Jangsan Thursday Party that I wanted to let people know about.  When I first got here to Busan I was stoked because I thought there was going to be a bunch of MMA because of Kim Dong Hyun and there is actually a pretty good following here, but there wasn't a lot of jiu jitsu near me until recently.  There's a couple of gyms around here that do fitness and diet boxing kind of stuff but I stumbled onto a new gym this past couple weeks and it's been awesome.

Looking for violin teacher (offering language exchange)

Hi,

I'm a master student living in Busan, and I'm looking for a violin teacher (doesn't need to be professional).

I had lessons before in my country for about 3 years, so I'm not absolute beginner and have my own violin!

I can offer in exchange English, Portuguese or French lessons.

Thank you,

Patricia

Want to get a uni degree in Busan?

Hi,

My name is Andy and I am teaching part-time at Silla University in the Korean studies department. The department is currently offering full scholarships for foreign students who want to get a BA degree. However, the head of the department is interested in opening up an MA course for foreign students wishing to get an MA in Korean Studies. This covers Korean language, Korean politics, Asian studies, Korean culture, and so on.

Therefore, I am interested to know how many people would actually be interested in studying for an MA? The university would provide scholarships.
