[TV리포트=홍의석 기자] 홍석천이 상담으로 자살을 막은 사실을 고백했다.

[TV Report: Hong Eui-seok] Hong Seok-cheon confessed that his counseling led to a preventing a suicide.
지난 10일 방송된 MBC '별바라기'는 강호동, 임호, 김영철, 송은이, 일일패널 강예빈 진행 아래 게스트 유세윤, 류현경, 홍석천, 장동민이 출연해 '나는 남자 팬이다 특집'으로 꾸며졌다.

On the 10th (July 2014) Kang Ho-dong, Im Ho, Kim Yeong-cheol appeared on MBC's 'Star Story' on Kang Ye-bin's daily panel with guests Yu Sae-yun, Ryu Hyeon-gyeong, Hong Seok-cheon and Jang Dong-min appearing on a feature story titled 'I am a Male Fan'.

이날 홍석천은 "중,고등학생 때 성정체성에 대한 고민으로 인해 자살을 결심한 친구들을 밤새 상담해 준 적이 있다"며 "성정체성으로 인해 왕따나 폭력을 당하는 아이들이 극단적 선택을 결심하기도 한다"고 말했다.

On that day, Hong Seok-cheon stated 'In middle or high school, I once gave counseling to a friend throughout the night. He had been worried about his sexual identity and had been contemplating suicide.' He also said that when people are severely bullied or experience violence due to their sexual identity it is possible that they may make an extreme decision.

이어 "어느 날 새벽에 한 학생으로부터 문자 메시지를 받은 적이 있다. 떠나기 전에 마지막으로 나와 연락 한 번만 하고 싶다는 내용의 메시지였는데 대화를 통해 그 친구의 극단적 선택을 막은 적 있다"자신의 경험을 고백했다.

Lastly he spoke of his experience. 'One day in the middle of the night I received a text message. Before leaving my friend told me he wanted to contact me one last time, but through conversation I was able to prevent my friend from making this extreme decision'

한편 MBC '별바라기'는 매주 목요일 오후 11시 15분에 방송된다.
