Sweet Treat Upgrade!

I love a sweet treat just as much as the next person, but I hate the way I feel after I have eaten it. So many of us crave heavy, sugary desserts. My personal favorite are pies or tarts. The problem, of course, is that after eating these sweet treats I almost always regret it!

Recently I was playing around in my kitchen and came up with a healthy strawberry and pear tart! It’s raw, easy and delicious! Plus, you won’t regret eating it afterwards!

St-RAW-berry and Pear Tart

For the crust you will need:
1 1/2 cups walnuts
pinch of salt

For the filling:
1 cup strawberries
1/2 Asian pear

1) Blend nuts until fine but chunky.
2) Mix in salt.
3) Empty blender into pie/tart pan and push out like dough.
4) Put chopped up pear and strawberries into blender.
5) Blend until chunky.
6) Empty blender onto crust.
7) Put in freezer for 20 min.
8) Enjoy :)

I love this recipe because it’s a perfect warm-weather treat!
