Chincha has posted queer artist Miyuki Baker's Observations on Queer Korea, which is a great read (but a little late to the game Chincha!). KoreaAM (a magazine on the Korean American experience) has a great article focusing on the campaign to create a shelter for gay youth in Seoul (February Issue: Gay Rights Activists in Korea Step Up to Support LGBTQ Youth). As the Olympics begin, Ban Ki-moon condemns persecution of gay people in Russia. His support has sparked a conversation on Twitter on how South Korea treats its queer citizens and the conversation that will take place for the winter Olympics in Pyeongchang in 2018.
