Osaka Castle is beautiful and in the middle of a giant park, so naturally, we did some geocaching. There were a ton of mosquitoes during the hottest days of July, but well-worth the gallivanting.

Osaka castle is a symbol of the city of Osaka and a special national historic site. With its vast garden, high walls, and a wide moat, this is the most beautiful castle I’ve seen so far.

I didn’t want to pay the 600¥ to go inside the castle, but I don’t feel like I missed out on much. The castle is surrounded by Japanese entertainers; from music to martial arts shows.

The Osaka Castle and Umeda Sky Building are two must-sees when in Osaka. This trip involved a lot of walking and hot weather, but those were the two sights I enjoyed the most.
