Lee Ufan’s Upcoming Retrospective at the Guggenheim

Lee Ufan wears many different hats: he is an artist, a philosopher, and even a poet. Born in Korea in 1936, his work has received much acclaim abroad, with recent solo exhibitions in Seoul, Madrid, and Paris. This Friday (5/24), his first major US exhibition, Marking Infinity, will open at the Guggenheim in NYC.

The retrospective will feature a combination of both painting and sculpture. His artwork is meant to inspire a dynamic and intimate viewer experience, to “open up a realm of infinity where one can continuously bring one’s self back to nothingness.”

The exhibition will run until September 28, check out Lee Ufan’s website for more information.
