Last Sunday (May 15) was Teacher’s Day (스승의 날), but I have been receiving presents since last Friday. Received my most recent (and probably last, for the year) present this morning, so it’s been a full week of presents! Tea, cake, shampoo, soap, lotion, chocolates, lipstick and flowers are popular gifts. One mother even brought in pizza!

May has been kind of a stressful month for me because of the excessive amount of holidays. The kids had to write their parents letters for Parent’s Day (May 8) and we had a huge celebration for Children’s Day (May 8). I’m just happy May is almost over.

Bring on monsoon season!
