I Got it!!!

So about a month or so ago, I started a project to see if I could get the espresso machine of my dreams using only the income earned from my photography. When I started I thought that it would be an easy thing. Little did I know that social or crowd funding was such a tricky business.

It was a long few weeks of campaigning and posting. Strangely enough, there was a mixed response largely due to how I put across my intentions. Most took this project as a “Something for nothing” type of deal rather than what I was thinking it was, and that was a “help me out in exchange for photos of Korea” deal.

At any rate, a few people saw my intentions and decided to help me out. Thus I am greatly honored to thank them as I do in fact have the Rancilio Silvia and Rocky (grinder) and I am ecstatic! It has been a long time since I have been able to practice my latte art and perfect my espresso extraction. Not to mention the fact that there is nothing better than a well made macchiato when editing photos.

With that said, here comes the thank you’s!

Mike LeMaistre – Thank you for being the first to contribute! I hope that you enjoy your photos and thank you for your support.

Veena Srinivasan – Thank you for you patience and support! I hope that you receive your photos soon and that you enjoy them.

Christopher Smith – I am very happy that you helped me out and that you enjoy my work. Thank you!!

Chad Nex – Thank you Sir! Family is great but you have always been there for me in these recent years. Sorry we didn’t meet up during my short visit to Vancouver. Next time for sure! or when you guys come here!

Steve Miller – You are an inspiration and one of the hardest working people I know. Thank you so much for your contribution!

and last but not least…

Collin Matyjanka  - Dude, thank you so much for the support. It was a shock to see and I am stoked that you helped me out.  I hope that you like the calendar and  thank you so so much.

Also I would just like to thank everyone that came out and purchased my prints at the Ulsan Art Fair and from my facebook events. You also helped me get closer to my goal.

I realize that this probably has nothing to do with photography on the surface but to be honest it sort of does. I learned a lot about the business of selling photos and crowdfunding along with the actual impact of my work not only here in Ulsan but around the world.

So again, I would just like to thank all of those who helped me out. I am a very happy photographer with a great set up for heavily-caffeinating (is that a word?) himself towards better photography. Thank you once again.
