I am really, really behind on Korea updates, but my goal is to catch up by the end of the month.

In mid April, Lauren and I (and a few dozen other foreigners) went to Gyeongju and Pohang on an organized tour led by Charles Jeong. We visited the Lighthouse Museum, the Hands of Harmony, JangSa Beach, GangGu Fishing Port & Sunrise Park. It was an awesome trip.

It was not my first time meeting Charles, and undoubtedly, will not be my last. I cannot stop singing this man’s praises. He is so kind and giving. He knows Korea’s best hikes and locations —and derives such joy from sharing his knowledge with the foreign community in Busan. I can only say that I wish I had joined the Lovable Busan Group earlier. It is a great way to meet nice, interesting foreigners, and a great way to experience Korea.
