Gayspeak: 올바텀 / 올탑 (vers bottom / vers top)

Not much to do with this post... just gay Shinee (source)
Although we talked about the Korean expressions for top (때짜) and bottom (마짜), anglicized expressions for top (탑) and bottom (바텀) are also commonly used. There are some weird Konglishisms, however, that I'd like to inform you about.

올바텀 (all-ba-teom)

올 is the English 'all', so I had assumed that an 올바텀 is an exclusive bottom. That was a bad assumption. The expression instead describes a person who can both top or bottom, but preferes to bottom: a vers bottom if you will. You might say something like 올바텀이에요 (I'm a versatile bottom) or 올바텀 찾고 있어요 (I'm looking for a vers bottom).

올탑 (all-top)

I'm assuming you can figure this one out... Just like in the earlier example, you could say 올탑이에요 for I'm a versatile top and 올탑 찾고 있어요 for I'm looking for a versatile top.

If you really think you are just 50/50 versatile, you can see 올이에요.  Pretty simple, eh?

All of this categorizing reminds me of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Dennis explained some gay preferences (성향) a couple of years ago.

The second episode of the current season has Dee expounding on the earlier joke. Hilarious. I just hope I'm not a twank (or pigeon-holed into any specific sexual type for that matter).
