Really important phrases coming your way, so pay attention! As a gay man, I feel like we learn a lot about safe sex in North America; Korean men are not necessarily as informed. This means it may be your job to ensure you play safe. Here are some phrases to help you out:

세이프 섹스하자! (sae-i-puh sae-suh ha-ja)

I'm sure you can imagine what this means: let's have safe sex! All of these phrases are in 반말, which is the very friendly/familiar level of speech. Since you are having sex, I imagine these will be ok to use.

콘돔 끼고 하자! (kon-dom ggi-go ha-ja)

콘돔 is, as you likely guessed, condom and 끼다 is one of the many verbs that means to wear. 끼다 is used for condoms and rings (I mean for your finger, but perhaps for your co** as well).

에이즈검사 바다봤어? (ae-i-juh-keom-sa ba-da-bwa-sseo?)

Have you been tested for HIV/AIDS? Note that HIV and AIDS are usually just referred to as 에이즈...  Of course, groups like ISHAP are trying to further knowledge about HIV/AIDS, but it usually isn't talked about in Korea. (Click here for more information about getting tested in Seoul)

노콘으로 할까 (no-kon-uh-ro hal-kka)

If you've been with you partner for a while, and you've been tested, it might be time to say 노콘으로 할까. This mixture of Korean and English means Let's do it without a condom. If you aren't ready to go bareback, a quick 아니야 can ensure you and your partner continue playing safe.
