Jeotgal or jeot (젓갈 or 젓) is a salted fermented food in Korean cuisine. It is made with various seafood, such as shrimp, oysters, shellfish, fish, fish eggs, and fish intestines. Today I had a chance to try Changnanjeot (창란젓) – jeot made with pollock intestines, yum!
There are a growing number of people who are brave enough to try these things out. I, unfortunately am not one of them. I'm glad you liked them and I hope that you share other finds with us.
Fermented fish guts is just not my cup of tea according to the resistance but a lot of people will try out several things when they travel to other countries.
