Beomeo Temple or Beomeosa (범어사) is likely a “must see” for most visitors to Busan. I even did a temple stay there. It’s on the top of Mt. Geumjeong (aka Geumjeongsan) and totally gorgeous. Why wouldn’t you want to check it out?

Like most things of note in Korea, the original was burn by the Japanese, but the current temple was rebuilt in 1713. It’s probably the most beautiful in May.

Be smarter than I was the first time and take the bus up instead of walking.

Address: 546, Cheongryong-dong, Geumjeong-gu, Busan-si
부산광역시 금정구 범어사로 250 (청룡동)

Directions: From Beomeosa Subway Station (Line 1) exit 5 or 7, walk between the two exits along the road for about 5 minutes and you will reach the Samsin bus stop. Ride bus 90 to the last stop.
