An Announcement

I’ve been mulling this over for the past two weeks, and I finally decided to take the plunge and commit.  This November, I am participating in National Novel Writing Month- or NaNoWriMo for short.  Basically this means I am going to attempt to write an entire novel in 30 days.  It’s going to be hard, it might be completely crazy, and I will probably be a hermit for the majority of November; but, it’s a challenge that I am sacredly excited for. The being scared part comes in waves, I’m still not sure if I can do it, but I’m going to try.

I’ve been writing backup blog posts for the past few weeks.  This way I don’t have to worry about tons of  writing while focused on such a huge task, but I can still keep sharing my life and experiences here.  I mean there are still parts of my trip to Japan I want to share.  I’m sure there will be posts about how the writing is going, but far from exclusively.  I can use all the help, advice, and encouragement I can get.  So if anyone else is doing it too, or if you’ve participated in past years, let me know!

Until November hits, I will be trying to develop my characters, get a better idea of where things are going in this story of mine, and watching fireworks and Halloween-ing it up (I’ll probably also be making a list of things I want to do after November is finished).  I will also be attempting to be as social as possible before I crawl deep into my burrow of literary pursuits.

Once November hits, this is where you’ll find me.
