Anniversary….Macaroni, DIY Desk…

Our Vows:

I take you to be my partner; to have and to hold, from this day forward. I give to you my unending love and devotion. I promise to be true to you, to cherish you, and to share my thoughts, hopes, and dreams with you. I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you, my best friend. I will love you forever.
I take you to be my (husband/wife). I promise to be true to you, in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health, and I will love and honor you all the days of my life.

Today is our 2 year anniversary. At 2 pm, 2 years ago, Adam was Kayaking through the Gulf of Thailand and Nicole was sitting by the pool painting my nails getting ready for our elopement.

Last year, in 2010, we braved a rainy storm on our scooter and went to Hooters for wings and crab legs :)

Today, it is raining and gloomy out so we decided on some DIY projects (a very untraditional way to spend the day)… FYI, We did sleep in, spend the morning preparing and eating a delicious banana pancake breakfast listening to some downtempo lounge music.

At the moment, as the afternoon dwindles away, Adam has put together three of our shelves from our extensive closet space to form a desk and I used some left overs and made Macaroni Salad.

Basically, Nicole used: 2 hard boiled eggs, ham, some ziti and spaghetti noodles, bok choy, onion, pickles and english mustard, some lemon juice and a little mayo… YUM

Adam used 3 shelves, an eraser for dampeners, and 4 brackets we bought at home plus.

extra shelving = desk (soko style)

Although today wasn’t spent as glamorously as that day in 2010… our life together is perfect.

We’re not sure where we are headed for dinner, but we have a bottle of red awaiting opening, some chocolate muffins from this morning and a cozy home to relax in.

…..oh yeah and a lucky lil pup to keep us busy if we settle in to much ;)

Wedding anniversaries are special, but we both feel lucky enough together to cherish each and everyday just as much and celebrate our life together in everything we do.

i did, she did….we done did!
