After a great concert and long night out, I spent the day on the sand and in the water at Haeundae Beach yesterday. I really enjoyed the good conversation while laying out in the sun. I laughed so hard my stomach and face hurt.

Ended the night with an impromptu BBQ on the rooftop of one of the Bora SkyView apartment complexes. Beautiful view. I wish I had brought my camera. And a flashlight. Cooking steak and hamburgers in the dark is more challenging than you would initially think.

I found out that my three favorite people are coming to Korea for Chuseok next month!! With the flurry of Korea, sometimes I forget how much I miss the ones I love back home. Yesterday after talking to my mom, she said, “I miss my little girl. The air isn’t as pure to breath knowing you are so far away.” She didn’t say it in English, but I think you can grasp her meaning. Something along the lines that we don’t share the same space.

I caught the last subway ride home from Minam, at midnight. Listening to music on my iPhone and Flaming Lips’ Do You Realize?? played. I cried. A happy cry, you know. An ajumma asked if I was okay (gwayn-chan-ah-yo? 괜찮아요?). I silently nodded. She held my hand. Bizarre but comforting.
