56. – 59. Cafe Beato, Mins Coffee, Capia, JaJeonGo Poong Gyong (Gimhae)

In Korea, one will often find the same kind of commerce specialties side-by-side-by-side. As if the logic goes that if one business is popular, others selling similar product should set up shop in the same location. This applies to cell phone shops (ad nauseum, it should be noted), restaurants and, absolutely, coffee shops.

Here are four located very, very close to one of the schools I teach at during the week. At least I’ll never be without caffeine on Wednesdays!

56. Cafe Beato. This is the newest of four cafes within (not very loud) shouting distance to each other in what has started to become something of a mini “Cafe Street” in this part of Samgye-dong, Gimhae. Note its proximity to Mins Coffee.

57. Mins Coffee. Note its proximity to Cafe Beato. I once got an Americano to-go from here. Decent, nothing special, but not terrible. One giant room, though, which I kinda hate.

58. Capia Coffee & Ppangso. Forgive my ignorance as to not knowing what “ppangso” is. But, it’s probably something to do with bread, since “ppang” is the Romanization of the Korean word for it. If you walk past Mins Coffee and make your immediate left, you’ll see it. I went here once after school and wrote for two hours. Not a single customer came inside. But, the girl behind the counter was very nice.

56. JaJeonGo (Bicycle) Coffee. This is very close to one of the schools I teach at, in Samgyedong, Gimhae. Decent coffee, very lovely atmosphere. And, I like bicycles.

59. JaJeonGo (Bicycle) Poong Gyong. This is very close to one of the schools I teach at, in Samgyedong, Gimhae. Decent coffee, very lovely atmosphere. And, I like bicycles. Instead of turning left after Mins Coffee, just go straight for another 100 feet and you’ll see this.
