I am very excited to announce the inaugural Spoken Word Competition for Daegu Rhapsody! 

Featured Artist Laura Wachs from Seoul! 

Sacrificial Poet Sean O'Gorman from Busan! 

How does it work? 

If you're interested in competing, please prepare two pieces of original work and keep in mind that the winner will be asked to perform a victory lap!

SIGN-UPS at 7pm! 

We have room for Twelve Slam Poets (for the competition) and Ten Open Mic Performances.

Not in the mood for competing? No worries! There will be an open mic from 7:30-8:00pm where you can have 5 whole minutes to read whatever you have. 

Rules for the Spoken Word: 
Breaking any of the following rules will lead to immediate disqualification

1. Original work only. (No sampling.) 
2. No music. No props. (Only clothing you would normally wear.) 
3. No hate speech. 


The bar is really easy to find though. Right beside Thursday Party one.
